Here's the Zhang Ziyi painting finally- I just got the photo on a disc from my friend, Alex today.
Thanks, Alex, for helping me out with this.
This is an oil painting on wood which is dimensional- the parts that come out from the surface of the wood are the nose, her cheek-bone, her lips, her arm, some of her hair, and the sword(the Green Destiny from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon-her break through role).
It's better to see this in person, so go down to "Faces and Names" at 159 W.54th St. between 6th & 7th Ave. and take a look. Hopefully there will be a light on it, but I just hung it yesterday, so probably not for a while.

Looks good Dan!
Thanks, Cam- wish you could see the original. The colors are a little off here.
ME LIKE MUCH! I'll definitely have to go check her out in person.
What did you do to give the sword dimension?
This is really cool! Very crisp!
Thanks, Rob and Fred. The sword is an extra piece of wood glued to the surface. Yeah, definitely see it in person- it's much better that way...obviously.
You should take a shot from the side, to show the 3 dimensionality. If you've never seen Dan's 3-D work, it's definitely worth a look in person! Looks great, and cool to se the original drawings you did for this go to final oils.
Thanks, Justin.
