"The Caricature King" is a business name!!!!

Just had to say again for the millionth time that I use the name" Caricature King" as a business name only, and I don't think I'm the "King of the Caricaturists" or anything of the sort. The idea is ridiculous and I don't have a huge ego like that.
I say this again because I heard from a friend that they were told that another caricaturist was talking about me like I DID think that and I had a lot of gall for thinking that. Obviously, it was someone who doesn't really know me, but THEY had the gall to think that they know what's going on inside MY head. Thanks for thinking the worst of me- fellow caricaturist- whoever you are. Feel your hate flow.... Embrace the Dark Side.

Every artist has their struggles to go through, and it's tough just to survive and make a living. I was working in the Fashion industry on and off for the past 17 years- delaying my progress as an artist in my opinion, because I needed to make money and survive. I've only recently been getting consistent work doing caricature gigs- so whatever I need to do to help me pay my rent and buy food, I'm going to do - within the law of course...
That's also why "The Caricature King" is in quotes.

But you ARE the caricature king!

It was great to see you in the park! Sorry we were like a bunch of Dali's floppy clocks, with brains to match.

I've have problems with my business name too, heh.

And YOU are the Cartoon Goddess!
Good to see you and your family as well. I think it was the heat; I was pretty out of it most of the day, too.
What problems have you had with your name?

just like in the fashion industry my friend...those who can't compete or keep up would rather just spread vicious rumors to try and bring someone else down.

it's a shame this type of shit has to happen. most prob just jealousy on the other person's part.

maybe consider putting up a "disclaimer" in the green sidebar, "caricarure king is just a business name!!!" haha!

i've always admired that you had the balls to leave the 9 to 5, steady paycheck world to pursue what you want to do artistically.

keep doing your thing and f**K the haters!

That's weird- I responded to your comment, Jason a while ago, but I guess it didn't actually appear in the comments. Anyway, I said thanks for the comment; I'm not really thinking too much about it anymore really.
I left the fashion industry because I started making more money doing caricatures, but I might still be back there if I couldn't. It's hard to stay true to the idea of being an artist- unless you're independently wealthy, are successful at your art and are making enough to live, or you get a grant or something. Otherwise we have to take other jobs, and it's hard to get out of that rut. Having said that, though, I don't hold it against anybody who has to do other jobs to survive- I've done it before and will probably do it again.

Thanks, Elgin- that's a good way to look at it!
