3 Stooges

Here's an older painting; I never got a good photo of it until yesterday, so here it is. It's oil on wood and hanging at Faces and Names. It's at least 5 years old.

i've still gotta make it out to that bar to see your stuff in person.

Thanks, Jason. There's still a bright spot in the middle, but maybe I'll try to do some more work in photoshop to get rid of that.
Yeah, check it out when you can. Faces and Names is at 159 W. 54th St. between 6th & 7th. There's also "Rumours" at 55th & 8th Ave.

Looks great - the likenesses are spot on. How large is the original?

Thanks, Justin- it's 30 x 36".

Thanks, Elgin.

I haven't started the new painting yet, but when I do, I'll let you know. I've just been too busy working for the GAP- trying to make some money for a change. I still have a drawing commission I haven't finished, so I have to do that first.
I should be done with the GAP within a few weeks.

Hi,
I was playing "Next Blog" tag and stumbled on your 'go figure' blog, which was so amazing I checked out your profile, and visited all four. Wow. WOW. You are an absolutely phenomenal artist. Caricatures especially are hard! (I believe, given enough time and practice, you can show almost anyone how to draw well, but for caricatures, you have to have the right brain to begin with). Thank you for inspiring me to dig out my own sketchbook again. Although my sketches aren't anywhere near your stuff, you've reminded me of the joy of pencil and paper again.
