Here's some live caricatures I did in Central Park, NYC. The Black and Whites take about 5 minutes per head, and the color takes about 10 min. per head. They are done with a Japanese Brush- Pen, and the color is pastel.

PS What's with the small bodies anyway? Just curious. (no offense)
I can't believe you're seriously asking that (are you??), but anyway it's because you want the focus to be the face of the person -to get their character and their personality clearly down; something big and bold so all can see it from a distance. The small bodies are therefore secondary and also a bit of a gag for party caricaturists that have been used for decades. If I made the bodies larger, the heads, by contrast, would have to be smaller and thus would have less detail in them. It's possible to do with a smaller pen, but I want it to be seen by people passing by so I can get more work, and make more money so I can pay my bills and continue living.

Hey Dan, these are awesome! You're a great caricaturist, man, you really capture everyone's likeness, energy and features. This is one branch of drawing I've never been able to do 'cause it's so difficult to capture people's likenesses. Especially boring-looking people. Not that your beloved clients are boring at all!!! :) Hey, what IS IT with the small bodies??? lol

Thanks, Jesse. Yeah, more "normal" looking people are harder to do in general and require more in depth looking to see any intracacies of their physiognomy.
