Figure detail

Charcoal & Acrylic

More figures from Verlaine

Figure drawings w/ paint from Verlaine

Johnny Rotten

This is the one piece that sold from the show- thanks to Carlo.

The Dumbening

I used to call this one "Brain Freeze", but I thought it was too obvious. I redid the background on this one for the Verlaine show.

Verlaine show

Another overview from the "closing" of the Verlaine show.

John Travolta

This one's up at Faces and Names- 161 W.54th St. (6th & 7th Ave.) Oil on wood.

Screwheads

The Pin Brothers

This is the Pin Brothers- part of the "Everybody's gotta be in a Gang" series. The line is from the B-Movie-"Switchblade Sisters". There will be more gangs to come...

Verlaine show

This is one of the overviews of the show at Verlaine. All these photos are courtesy of Pete Luna. Thanks, Pete.

The Bunnyship Crashes

This is an Acrylic painting from my show at Verlaine

BOO

This is Boo- leader of the dogs of the "Stay Gold Gallery" where I had my studio for 3 months. It was a great space to have for the limited time I had it, but well worth it. I met a lot of cool people, and I'm sure I'll stay in touch with most of them. Hopefully I'll be able to get out of my bedroom (where I currently paint again) and find another studio space in the future.
I was able to do this sketch of Boo while captivating his attention with a sandwich.
The other dogs are "Chopper"- the fearsome miniature Chihauhau, and "Lupa"- the over-stimulated Italian Greyhound.

The Big Mouth

This is another sketch from my sketch book that I turned into a painting. I changed the images inside the figure's mouth for the painting.

Screwheads

This is a sketch of a painting I had in my last show. I don't have any photos of the new paintings yet, but hopefully soon.

Rhode Scholar Warrior

This is one from my sketchbook.

Steve Buscemi

This is another one up at "Faces and Names". I ran into Steve Buscemi one night in the Village after seeing a play, and told him that the painting was there, but he didn't go up to see it at the time... Then I found out more recently that he did go into see it- mainly because the cast of the Sopranos was in there and they told him to check it out. You never want to go against the family...
He's one of my favorite actors- he's been killed in more Cohen Brother's films than anybody, and he's left of center.
I was happy that he finally got to see it.

Rolling Stones, yet again

I've never been commissioned more to do a band. I think this was the 9th painting I've done of them- it's up at Rumours- 55th & 8th Ave. Justin was really critical of this one, but you really have to see it in person. Sorry it doesn't make sense, Justin, but that's art sometimes...

Christopher Walken-2 (more cowbell!!)

This one I did at the end of 2005. Faces and Names wanted a replacement after the first Christopher Walken painting sold to someone in Maine.
He hasn't been in yet to see this new one, but I think it's just a matter of time. I think he'll appreciate the cowbell.

Christopher Walken-1

This is the first painting I did of Christopher Walken way back in 1996 or something... He came into Faces and Names twice to see it when it was hanging there. Apparently, the first time he just stared at it, refused a free drink, and when someone asked him if he liked it, he just said "no."

The Rat Pack

This is the first Rat Pack painting I did, which is up at "Faces and Names". I just finished the second one for "Rumours", but don't have any photos of it yet...
